We all know the many amazing Benefits of using Shea butter, but what does  avocados do for our skin? 

Avocado oil can penetrate into the second layer of the skin (dermis) and provide deep moisturizing with its oleic acid and phytosterols. The lecithin in avocado oil helps boost collagen, and the pro-vitamin A carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin enhance the skin’s natural antioxidant store. Avocado oil contains the antioxidant vitamin E, which is essential to undo the ill effects of the UV rays you encounter through the day.

I did not receive a confirmation email for my order. How do I know my order went through?

First, please be sure to check your spam/junk email folder for your Fro Butter confirmation email.  There is a possibility that your email confirmation landed there.

And for Gmail users, please also check your “Promotions” tab, because your Confirmation email may have landed there as well.

What is the Fro Butter Refund Policy?

 AT FRO BUTTER WE ARE COMMITTED TO YOUR SATISFACTION. UNFORTUNATELY DUE THE SENSITIVITY OF OUR PRODUCTS ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

What happens if I gave you all the incorrect shipping address?

Incorrect Shipping Address Policy

1). The purchaser is responsible for providing the correct mailing address. Before finalizing your order, be certain your shipping address is correct.

2). We are not responsible for goods delivered to the wrong address input at the time of ordering.

3). If you happen to notice that you entered the wrong address, you can email us at sales@frobutter.com  with the correct shipping address before your shipping label is created.

4). Once your shipping label is created, we will not be responsible for the incorrect address & the subsequent delivery.

My tracking information shows that my Fro Butter package was "Returned to Sender".  What do I do now?

Returned to Sender Policy

1). If a package is returned to Fro Butter due to an incorrect or incomplete shipping address provided by a customer, or if the customer was not home for delivery, the customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost, as well as, any additional delivery cost.

2). Fro Butter is not responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or lost due to incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by a customer.

3). No refunds will be provided if any part of the address is incorrect.

The tracking shows that my Fro Butter package was delivered but I didn’t receive my package. My package was lost or stolen.  What do I do now?

Lost or Stolen Fro Butter Package Policy

We are so sorry to hear that your Fro Butter package has been either lost or stolen.  Please see below:

1). Fro Butter is not responsible for lost or stolen packages that have a confirmed delivery to the address entered for an order.

2). Upon customer inquiry, Fro Butter will confirm delivery to the provided address, date of delivery, as well as, tracking & shipping carrier information for the customer to investigate. 

3). If after the customer has directly contacted the carrier, and the carrier is unable to locate the missing package, please contact us at sales@frobutter  with the case number provided from the carrierand we will further assist.

My Fro Butter order arrived damaged.  What should I do?

If your product arrived damaged, we are so sorry about that! Please send an email to sales@frobutter.com and we will gladly assist you.

Will my products be all natural and organic?

Yes, we will only provide natural and/or organic ingredients. We keep our labels simple, so you can understand exactly what's on your hair. All ingredient information is on each individual product page. 

How long will they last?

Approximately one full calendar year. 


I'm allergic to a few things. 

Ingredients may have been derived from corn, soy, wheat, and/or nut products. They may have also been produced in a facility that makes those products. 

We recommend conducting a "patch test" on your arm and a section of hair before use. 

Are Fro Butter products safe to use on children?

Yes, however children can be sensitive to natural ingredients too. For this reason, we recommend conducting a patch test to ensure they are not allergic. Apply product to a small patch of skin, and let it sit for 24 hours. If nothing happens, then go right ahead and apply the product.

Are Fro Butter products safe to use on color treated hair?

Yes, they are!

Do you use natural fragrance?

Yes, we use natural fragrance oils and some synthetic fragrances but they are all phthalate free.

Does Fro Butter ship internationally?

Yes we do yet ship internationally.

WARM WEATHER SHIPPING

We do not use synthetic stabilizers or waxes.  We do not formulate our butters with loads of beeswax.

As a result, our delicate natural products packaged are sensitive to temperature changes. During very warm weather, products may soften or even melt as they sit in warm mail trucks, mailboxes, or on front porches. We use more protective packaging in the heat of summer, so most products do make their journey safely.

Since melting is a natural reaction to heat and we have no control over the conditions during transit or delivery, please understand that we cannot be responsible for melted products. We cannot accept returns or issue refunds for melted products. 

WHAT TO DO ABOUT MELTING

On sunny or warm days, BEFORE opening the jars, place the items in your refrigerator for a few hours to allow them to harden, just in case they have melted in transit. If you open items, to check if melting has occurred,  they may spill out and make a mess! The quality and healing properties of our products are not affected by melting.

As it begins to harden up--give it a stir and place it back in the refrigerator so that the solid portions do not sink to the bottom of the container.

The melting will not affect the quality of the whipped butter as a great moisturizer, but the whipped consistency will change. Whipping adds tiny air bubbles (just like whipping cream) that increase the size, lighten the density and change the texture, making the butter light and fluffy. If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles are collapsed, so the volume is decreased. So although the jar was filled to the top, if the butter melts, there will be less volume in the container.  The container may actually look half full.  

 

WHAT WE ARE DOING TO HELP THE PROBLEM

During hot weather we do our best to protect our products from melting. This summer has been unusually hot.

  • We check every product before it is packed for shipping

  • We have switched from shipping in envelopes to using thermal cooling lined foil envelopes that allow more padding for insulation

As a result, most products shipped in warm weather arrive without melting. But please understand, there is no way that we can ship products to completely control for the high heat temperatures of summer, trucks and mailboxes.

WHY DOES THE MELTING PROBLEM EXIST?

One of my biggest challenges as a formulator of natural skin care products is controlling the effect of outside temperature. There are times we create an excellent product during the cold winter only to discover the product is too soft in the summer.

Many commercial products contain phthalates to stabilize and maintain viscosity (thickness), cocamide DEA, MEA to thicken, stabilize and emulsify, petroleum based oils and waxes to thicken and stabilize and other additives to insure that their products maintain the same consistency through all temperature variations. Our natural organic products do not contain these or any other synthetic additives.

Our butters are formulated to be a semi-soft solid at room temperature. When applied to our warm skin, they instantly melt, providing an emollient, nourishing and penetrating product. Since melting is a natural reaction to heat, the products mentioned above may melt in transit as they sit in a warm mail truck or mailbox.
